Dec last year me and a friend where out looking for phone contracts, i got mine and he was set to get his but he wasnt 18 until jan so he couldnt get a contract. The guy in the CPW said I could Be the over 18 in the contract but all the bank direct debit details would come from him. I did specifically ask if My freind had any problems would they affect my credit rating and he said no. I know this means that its my contract essentially.
Anyway ive just came back off holiday and had a call from Tmob saying Theres a missed payment and to pay it now over phone or will be disconnected etc. and that it is effect(he did text me before hand saying there was something wrong with his contract but didnt say what) I explained im actully not dealing with this its not comming out of my bank account and to ring back in the evening(Hes comming over to sort it out)
Will this missed payment effect my rating and is there a way I can change the contract to his name now he is over 18.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks alot
Jay

Yes this will effect your credit rating (if you dont pay) and yes you are liable for everything.
The guy in the shop lied.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -

Not all network will allow a 'customer account transfer' and the person you're moving the acc to has to be able to pass a credit check.0

Mate came over and we rang Tmobile up. Spoke to a really nice helpful chap. His direct debit for some reason didnt work for one month. he paid it over phone no probs and they re instated the direct debit .
I asked if The contract could be changed to his name etc. TM said yeah no problem, sending forms out that mates gota sign and send back.

Cool glad it is sorted. But it does show you are the one that would be chased if anything went wrong, even if it is for family, dont sign your name on their contracts.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0
