Contract Problem Telewest

I had to move due to my job being relocated 25 miles away. I contacted Telewest and asked if they could transfer my phone,tv and broadband over to my new area. They did a post code check they couldnt, they said that at the end of the week they would collect the equipment and the final bill would be sent out that week of £280. This was because I signed a 12 month deal with them and had nine left, I can't aford to pay that moneys tight as it is.
First thing is what can I do about it?
Can I say that they're not providing the service so its half and half or do I have to pay it. If need be I'll go to a small claims court.

well, you did sign a 12 month contract, so you'll have to pay it
I'd see if you can get your work to pay for it, since they are forcing you to move0 -
