Nokia 5800 What Apps Do You Have?

Just wondered what applications you guys and girlies have downloaded onto your nokia 5800 express music.???

Had a look thro the ovi store last night at the free stuff and not really sure what to choose. Haven't looked at paid for apps yet, but am willing to try them.

So are there any you can't live without or any that just are a waste of memory!!!

  • How do you get these onto your phone? Does the ovi store send them through or do you have to download them to a PC then transfer them?

I have Paint Pad, and no others right now. Did have Travelmate but it wouldn't update as much as I'da liked.

With Ovi, if you install the store on your phone, then download through your phone they'll install onto either the phone or memory stick.

    you tube
    bbc iplayer
    facebook
    magic 8 ball
brightlight - so so cool but pointless:rotfl:

  • Ovi can be downloaded onto phone or you can go on the website (think if your registered with my nokia you are then registered with ovi) and get them sent to your phone via a text message

    I like google maps,

As to downloading them, Ovi store on the phone is terrible, its very slow and keeps signing me out.

I go on the pc and browse ovi website and get them to text me with the direct download links, much quicker.

Scummvm is one of the best free apps for your phone. The version available is for Symbian 6v3, but it works fine on my phone. I can now play Full Throttle, Monkey island etc.

I've just had to do a hard reset as I had far too many apps installed on mine (40+), which caused some problems, although I've got loads of free memory available, so I am going to be discerning about what I keep.

    Top favourites are:
    Scummvm
    The Guardian
    Opera mini
    Ovi store
    Weatherbug
    various ebooks
    various games
    Night stand
    Google maps
    Level
    Converter
    Iplayer
    DJ Playlist
    Phone torch.

    Probably still too many.
