hellos all, as i posted it can only be bought at thorpe on the day unless there is a way round by using the web links posted which is better then you wouldnt have to but a day ticket + £75 and there keeping the deal quiet :p, although its saying cannot refund todays entry cost it would be worth a try going into the annual pass office (the porta cabin at main entranceish) and saying i have heard you currently have a deal on at half price only £75 and they may do it there as thats were there sending people even when bought:confused: , but if doing this !arrive early! if park reaches capacity they wont let you in even before half term, its unlikely but possible as a few months ago they was making even annual passes pre book entry for any of the fright nights at £2 per pass which went up now to £5 each (should be ticket cost price if owt but oh well :naughty:) so dont waste a journey if arriving late and buy in advance, but dont buy the ticket if checking if you can get there early enough :money:as you dont save a day eg its valid from the day bought and thats until oct/nov time next year depending on when bought but even though the theme parks close of season its worth getting now and using all the others eg dungeons except warwick castles dungeon:naughty:/eye/sealife/seal sancturys/chessington zoo only of season/waxworks/warwick castle but they dont include the dungeon which they should include! or at least give more tickets for the annual passes/not limit them eg when the whole lots sold/gone for the day thats it:naughty: but nope its rare for annual holders to get in there dungeons free or they should charge ticket cost price eg £1 each at most if they want to charge/say its because there claiming the cost of the ticket,

though remeber a ticket thorpe park say must be bought in advance if visiting 24th October - 1st November although i expect they may let you in but its a risk bearing in mind these advance tickets annual pass holders have been forced to buy are open dated! eg can visit any day that means they cant just guarentee entry only by pre booking if they dont expect it to be full as they would have to let those pre bookers of the pass in or would cause chaos

what is a bit unfair was it was cheaper to buy a brand new half price pass than it is to renew them atm! eg a renewal is £100, and half standard price is £75 and a family pass of 4 renew is £300 =s same price when bought seperate at £75 each but i dont think you can use tesco vouchers towards this, added to there moreorless all year round discounts eg 2 for 1s on the day, online discounts etc doesnt work out to such a great deal then to renew and upsets the renewals as they have been with them for years:naughty:!

the passes should be bought before about 9:30ish pm as they start shutting up terminals i got mine 10pm but took a while to get as they had to reopen some the maze times on sun 18th werent too bad eg 1hourish and rides were about 30mins tops but saws about a constant 90 mins, if going plan the mazes to fit them all in especially half terms or you wont fit all in they open 4pm this year alton towers 12pm, but the rides are quieter when the mazes open if you dont want the maze as there all in there at about dusk

being a complete numpty, but i dont understand what you are saying

do you mean, you cant use your full merlin pass, to visit the Eye, london dungeons, etc. unless you pay a fee? or are you just referring to the fee they charge on 'special days' (like fright night, etc.)
  • We've used ours all summer and haven't had an restrictions or additional fees apart from the following:

    8. Annual Pass restrictions apply, including entry
into Madame Tussauds (London), The London Eye and London Dungeons during the whole of August being limited to after 3pm only, and no entry to Madame Tussauds (London), The London Eye and London Dungeons on 14th February or between 26th – 31st December. The Annual Pass may not be used for the River Cruise.

I wasn't aware there were additional fees for entrance into their attractions for Halloween, Bonfire Night etc.
  • Indeed, I have never before known them charge a booking fee for Thorpe Park Fright Nights - last year we went during Oct half term using our Annual Passes with no extra charge (it was extremely busy!) but this year I saw on the website the £5 charge - see here http://www.thorpepark.com/ticket-prices-frightnights.php and also this is what it says on the booking page -

ANNUAL PASS HOLDER FRIGHT NIGHTS ENTRY TICKETS EVT0000100001141.jpgFright Nights at THORPE PARK is extremely popular, and this year is STRICTLY ADVANCE BOOK ONLY. Book early for your reduced Annual Pass holders’ rate.

No admittance to the Park without a valid pre-booked ticket!
  • You can only buy this at the park (not online), inside at customer services so you have to pay admission (find a Burger King Half price entry maybe??) and it says todays entry fee NOT refunded with this offer but, yes, it is £75 for the complete Annual Pass and will last for 12 months from purchase so a really good deal.

Whats the Burger King half price deal all about? We are going on friday and this would be great. Have got the 2 for 1 tickets but have an odd number in our party so would be very useful!
    Thanks!

yes and no, the full annual pass is what you are given on the day at thorpe however all london centres attractions now have limits placed on them

so during august the pass cannot be used in the eye/london dungeon/london aquarium sealife/or the waxworks untill after 3pm and there are other restricitions i think they are either the pass cannot be used on the 14th febuary,31st of october and the 26th-31st december you cannot pay to get a cheaper ticket/entry at these times although these are newer rules/ the pass is not clear on wether its after 3pm on these days or no entry whatsoever there is no limit on restrictions on the fright nights/fireworks/special events (some) but some require a booking in advance which must be paid for the bit were you definately have to pay other than very limited tickets at last known was 50 per day is for the warwick castle dungeons all year round there is a charge when we told them of they just claimed its an attraction within an attraction but we said well yes it is but it is definately marketed as the dungeons and the annual pass states access to the dungeons which they wont uphold but another unfair thing is merlin claims the london restrictions are to stop them reachin capacity but thats a bit harsh/unfair when they are still selling tickets on the day! eg if you have a pass yes you can visit on those days but you have to buy a full price ticket!
