Seen at https://www.phonesphonesphones.co.uk

Nokia is cheaper at £3.99 PM but NEC is more practical?

NEC 12 months half price line rental.

Both on 3.

    Hi

Ive had both and overall, I would go with the Nokia.

However, the NEC is better looking, easier to hold, has a flip top with and has video conferencing - the nokia doesnt. It does cost 50p per min to use this if its not part of ur package so be careful.

The NEC doesnt have infrared or Bluetooth which are both important to me and the menu systems take a bit of getting used to. My Nokia came with cables and software the NEC had nothing.

The nokia can record around an hour of video, loads of MP3s and takes good photos. The downside is the shape is a bit odd and texting is hard.

Also the Nokia is worth more - its hard to find them on Pay as you go but generally they cost a lot whereas the NEC is under £60 in argos and £85 in woolies.

    Hope this helps

I go to the menu that says photos, I select video and I press record.

One minute???????????? I have loads of videos saved on my phone, each several mins long.

you need to go into menu-camera-settings and then set "video clip length" to "maximum"... you get around 50 mins of recording time.

while we're at it, does anyone know how to scan through an MP3 track (fast forward/rewind)? the method described in the manual doesn't work.
  • I've had the 7600 now for about 6 months and although I thought texting would be hard and this put me off a bit, soon got used to it. Only gripe I have with the phone is the sound could be better. Not bad enough to complain about it though. Incidentally doe anyone agree with this? Overall, happy with the phone - that was until my puppy chewed it and provided a scratch down the middle of the screen :-/

    Bless him >:( ;D

I agree 100% BUT have you tried listening with the earphones that came with the phone? The sound is CD quality - cant beat it.

  • Guys, I doubt that this is a genuine question, it's just MORE spam for this person's e2save affiliate link, which he/she has posted through various aliases and various links.

Why aren't the mods cleaning this up? Are e2save referral links a free-for-all now?
