Adele1, I would not worry too much about colour on the baby wipes. I say this as I have a dark navy blue suite and no matter what I use to clean it be baby wipes, damp cloth or even the cloth from manufacturer, there is always a dye residue on it. I've had mine for 7yrs and still looks like new with three kids and a dog that insists on having a sofa seat when allowed in the living room
. Also sometimes the residue u find on the cloth is from clothes, I say this as my mum had a cream leather sofa and she ended up putting throws over it as it always looked dirty, dye from jeans and other clothes would be left behind. Not sure why but obviously u can see it more on a cream sofa, so would assume it would happen with all.

We just bought a cream colored sofa. It was a discounted shop display model, so of course it was rather grubby. I bought a can of Eezit cleaner from Wilko and got a microfibre cloth, and cleaned it per the instructions on the can.
However, there are several large areas (most of one seat cushion and part of one arm) that are now a LOT lighter than the rest of the sofa, and the finish seems to be different in those areas, too. Have I just totally ruined the sofa, or does this mean that it is really very filthy and should be white, not a nice cream color?0 -
I use Lux flakes to clean my cream leather sofas, but I think any soap flakes will do.
Microfibre cloths are not recommended for use on leather.0 -
I clean my leather suite with soap flakes with soap flakes and warm water and it always does the trick! I agree on the microfibre cloths though, they won't do the leather any good!0

I have leather sofa but its a beautiful chocolate brown!
I tend to use baby wipes to keep it clean, but the problem I have now is that my house bunny has reached that time in his life where he feels it necessary to mark his territory at every given opportunity (and yes, this even includes marking ME as his own  )
I read in one of my rabbit books that white vineger is good for taking the smell out of floors and would stop him from marking the area (I can't smell anything but apparently rabbit can) - what could I use on my leather sofa? I'm inclined to think vinegar would damage it?0 -

I have been looking all over the internet for tips on cleaning my leather sofa and the one thing they all agree on is absolutely do NOT use saddle cream on a leather sofa! It is a totally different kind of leather altogether.0 -
