Please some one help I've just come back from a 6 day break in Spain and how I don't know have run up data charges of nearly £3000 I've not got an iPhone just a sill little samsung tocco carphone warehouse r basicly saying u used it pay for it but I don't know how I've used it so please any advice would b so welcomed. Thanks

  • I've just come back from a 6 day break in Majorca imagine this I check my phone balance now I know I've been carefull with the calls and texts but I've run up over £1000 in data roaming how have I done this I don't have a iPhone or blackberry I've a rubbish little samsung tocco but some how I've done this carphone warehouse are basicly saying that uve used u pay for it but I don't know how I've done this so any help with trying to get some sence out of somebody would be a great help thanks

    you need to be a little more specific - you mention calls and texts but did you use the internet at all? Which network are you on?

    1000 quid is basically £150+ a day on data - a pretty difficult total to reach in my opinion

    do you check email on it , my phone was set to check every 10 minutes or something stupid , I changed this to manual

    don't think there is much you can do about it unless O2 decide to make a goodwill gesture

    Only your network can tell you what the charges were for. They have to be your first port of call.

    When you have that information, come back and tell us and you will then get some advice, but, in general, if you have clocked it up, then it's grovel time with the network to see if they will reduce the bill.

    But speak to them first.
