  • Did a final hour's flying before school run.

    * Emptied the airing cupboard and folded stuff/put it away
    * Fluffed up the feather quilt I washed yesterday, and which is air-drying in a warm room; and turned it over to air the other side.
    * Made a lemon drizzle cake with the remains of the lemon curd and de-zested lemons DH used on Saturday for my meal :kisses3:, and which were malingering in the fridge
    * Booked the piano tuner piano.gif
    * Ordered cello music for collection Thursday (avoiding postal strike...:o)
    * Defrosted stew for tonight
    * Defrosted chicken pieces in the fridge, for cooking tomorrow.

    Nothing to cross off the list... but, boy, do I feel organised! :A

    Tomorrow is the Master's :p Bedroom, and possibly a start on the bathroom. Sorry to be doing all this out of order, Toots, but that's how it has fallen out this week.

    Bye for now

    MissH

    Well, i've not done much tidying but I did empty my wardrobe and list / wrap all the Chri**mas presents that i've already brought. We will NOT have a repeat of last year - wrapping until silly O'clock in the morning!! Today I got all the chocolate oranges on bogoff. Just need to get the selection boxes and a few silly extras now...oh yes, and main presents but i'm not sure what they want yet.

    Tea done....DS fell asleep earlier and has had some twinges but he's done really well today.

    Off to browse the net so I don't have to do anything else!!

    xx

    Good evening from a very murky Berkshire, its miserable and drizzly here, poured down for school run (of course). Decided today to not do proper flying but to do lots of smallish jobs instead, seem to havea s udden back log of cards, presents, filing etc. Kids had school photo today and said that went well. They got one together so I am looking forward to seeing that.

    Dilemma of the day: I bought a pink dressing up table with light up mirror thing for Xmas but can't decide whether to give it to DD1 (nearly 5) or DD2 (just turned 2) :confused::confused:. I think they will both love it, so really its just whose room it goes in., Think I will open the box and see how flimsy it is and then decide. It comes with hairdrier and brush and clips etc which DD1 has several thousand of, DD2 has none so maybe should give it to her. But then DD1 has Xmas AND birthday coming up . aaarrgghhh can't decide :rolleyes::rolleyes:nCould always buy 2 but that seems a bit excessive. It was in Asda at £15 half price.

    Had a lovely afternoon with my friends. I made them quiche, bread rolls and salad for lunch, with a posh bottle of fizzy pop :beer: We then had a long walk - finished just before it started raining, and they treated me to tea and a huuuuuuuge slice of coffee and walnut cake :T The children are cooking themselves some pasta to have with the rest of the quiche, and I'm going to light a fire and open a bottle of wine :beer:
