Have my PAC code, do I just order my new pay monthly sim from new provider?

Got my PAC code from T mobile today, am going onto a pay monthly deal with Tesco, do I just buy the 'tarrif' as it says on their website online and then give them my PAC code when it comes through or do I need to do something with Tesco to ensure I can port my number over before buying online?

Thanks for any help.

Should make sure number port from old to new provider is allowed. Some retailers do not allow ports to Vodafone or whatever as their systems are not geared up properly. Always worth checking (especially if you are entering a new contract). Usually on the web sites.
