Looking at that layout I think I would consider moving the door nearer the other end.
move the bed towards the inner/left wall and have a full run of storage on the right hand wall I would think about using sliding mirror doors to make the room feel bigger.
then three options for the space
1,continue the storage run into the space leave open
2,use a sliding door into the storage IYSWIM to make it a walkin
3,en suite
this would maximise storage and use of the floor space and still leave the option to inslall an ES now or later0 -

Very easy to take down and put up by one person.
They do however need a free wall to place them against so not all rooms are suitable
I don't like them fitted or free standing, I just don't like the whole cupboards around the bed thing. Reminds me of caravans, sorry:o
I love those build in wardrobes that have all the clever units inside.
Our bedroom is long, 18ft & we plan to do these at both ends:D0
