Letter not addressed correctly

  • I do think it depends on the mindset of the postie that ends up dealing with your letter.....my OH had a letter delivered to him recently where the only correct bit of the address was the town & postcode - no number and wrong street name (!!) but because of the way it was addressed it got to us....and the postie had actually written on the correct number and street name.

Don't know when your daughter did this but it may be worth waiting a few days and seeing if the cheques are deposited before going down the route of getting replacements

For those interested, THIS is where all the UK lost mail ends up. And stays.
  • When did you post the items? I made a boob the other week and posted my birth certificate in a plain white envelope instead of another letter, I rang the sorting office who gave me a number for the collection guys(they hadn't yet started) explained the problem and the nice lady thankfully rang me back later for my address to send it back to me!
The post office isn't all bad and may be worth a try:D
:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly :D

Thanks everyone.. Have got the number of the sorting office and will ring them in the morning and see what they say.. It is not the end of the world as the chqs can be stopped and re sent its just the hassle of it!!!
