The Gatwick Hilton Hotel is showing an advance rate of £89 plus tax for the 11th Aug 10 for a triple room 2 adults 1 child and holiday extras has a price of £111. I can't see any differences in the offer but haven't done this before so thought someon could confirm for me.

Yes the prices you quote are correct. The Hilton Advance rate is non refundable so you would loose the £89 if you don't go. On www.booking.com there is Premier Inn for £49 for a quad room that is fully flexible so you would get the money back if you didn't end up going and cancelled by 1pm that day and it's a bit closer than the Hilton.
Using a friends and family offer you can get the Holiday Inn for £46.50 and that would include breakfast or the Crowne Plaza on the same link is £75. This will take you there and you have to quote Anthony Bainbridge and take the booking information and voucher with you. It explains it when you book http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/6c/1/en/friendsandfamily?key=BoRoNbBOeZFWSQKT%252FuJHisHr6K8uQC1TJUZXs%252B9PPjo%253D&cm_mmc=DCE-_-FF-_-20090304-_-EM161920.
These rates are also non-refundable. Hope that helps. :money:
Just reread your question and yes it does say they will refund the whole amount but I think that they may say the two are different as one (with Hilton directly) is the advance purchase although to get the cancellation bit with holiday extras you have to pay more. I wouldn't be sure and think you may come unstuck. I'd just go with one of the others that are cheaper and guaranteed.GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200
