It is now eight weeks since the first letter. I sent their questionnaire back a few weeks ago and phoned around a fortnight ago to see if they had any update, they just said it was being looked at by Head Office. I phoned again today and once the operator knew what the call was about he became VERY abrupt, almost aggressive in tone. Apparently the case is "with head office" but he couldn't/wouldn't give me a number to call nor put me though to anyone else. He just said there is a huge backlog of work, they are weeks behind and no point speaking to anyone else as they woudn't be able to tell me anything different.

So, in the next few days I will investigate/download the FOS forms and send my complaint to them to look into. Looks like it might drag on a bit, but I am patient!

Sharon, may I suggest that you request for a copy of the phone recordings, hopefully they will supply them to you on request.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to all those on the board who have taken time to post their stories, to those to have replied to my queries and the MSE hero Martin for this website.:money:

Due to various PC and printer problems I didn't get round to the FOS forms and intended to wait until after Christmas. However, I received a letter this morning from Northern Rock admitting I was mis-sold and offering the premiums plus interest making a total of just over £6k. The money is fantastic and will pay off another loan and bring me a step nearer financial security.

Thank you once again, keep at it those of you who have claims going through and a Merry Christmas to all. :D:D
