    ok i dowloaded to another machine and it came out perfectly fine. now transferred to this computer and it doesn't work!!! What can I do?

    Did you rename the file before transferring it?

    ok I only had one of them that you mentioned running and I stopped it. Loads of others staring with win... are they ok to run? Sorry if this is a complete dumb question..:embarasse

    Right click on the file, then rename in Windows Explore.

    No it still doesn't do anything. It started nearly immediately on the other computer. Surely Protection System is blocking it. What can I try now?

    tried installing malwarebytes in safe mode?

    I cannot login through safe mode. It doesn't recognise the password

    create a temporary account (without a password) in control panel > user accounts. and try logging in with that account in safe mode
