    Yes, anything is 'possible' in software but it is naughty and generally you need to have a fair idea what you're doing to be successful.

    The paid version lets you play music without adverts.

    There is no "legal" way to record the music and transfer to another device, it is a live free/paid for streaming service only.

    I believe the paid version now allows you to store tracks to hardrive

    Spotify will sync the tracks to your computer so when you’re on the go or at the summer house with your laptop and no internet connection you can still listen to your tunes.

    I tend not to listen to music in my "summer house"

    the only way to do this legally is to have an iPod touch, the free spotify app and a paid subscription to spotify.

    edit - the music will not play when the subscription runs out though
