when should i buy an iPhone 3Gs
Hi,
i would like to buy an iPhone and just wondered when would be the best time?
I am looking to buy one when they are released on the Orange network. I wont be getting an upgrade as i'm not due one for 12 months or so.
Also, do i have to get a new SIM card that will work with the iPhone or is my current SIM card compatible from my Blackberry Curve 8900?
Cheers in advance

There's no info if Orange will even be selling them on payg yet.
If not you'd need to get one from O2 or the Apple store and unlock it.
You need a plan with unlimited internet to use the iPhone to it's full, you could add a bundle to an existing acc for a few quid.0 -
you can get a payg one on o2 which also includes free web for a year as part of the deal0

When Orange start selling the iphone sometime next month. If I was then to buy the iphone 3gs from apple online store would this be unlocked as there will be more than one network who officially run the phone?0

Who knows. IF Orange have it on payg from launch then the Apple may have them on both O2 and Orange. But it's down to when Orange start to offer them outside a contract.
Apple seem determined to keep them locked unlike any other phone manufacture . . .0 -
Seems like Orange will be selling the iPhone on PAYG.
As a new user I can't post links on here, but if you go to 'Help & Support' on the Orange website and search for 'iPhone', one of the answers provides confirmation of this0
