At the one I am at now all our coffee comes from the machine with cappacino etc rather than brewed0

You don't have to have 2 cups one after the other. When I worked there we let people have free refills and a guy used 2 come in every so often normally drive thru and ask for one. I swear he was using the same cup but who am I to tell him otherwise. Everyone loves a freebie!0

those old filter coffee machines with the jugs were 100 times better coffee than the machiens they have now, but now they can do latte's and other such things, plus less work for the staff (as some are idiots). but they are disgusting and unless cleaned thoroughly every night get filthy and break quickly.
plus the old bags of coffee grinds smelt awesome when you opened them lol0 -
Firstly, around here, there are two types of McDonalds, some are franchises and some sites are owned by the parent company. All of McD's own sites give free 'endless' coffees but the franchises refuse. There appears to be no way of finding out in advance what type of outlet you are in though without asking, so ask them. The table cleaners are usually very helpful and know if they do refills, in 'proper' McD's they will often ask you if they see you with an empty cup.
I drink black coffee which is now far too weak with their new machines so I order a 'double espresso in a medium cup topped up with hot water'. Much better and 99p instead of £1.09 for a black coffee. Result ! :T
Just remembered -easy way to spot a franchise - Happy Meals are £2.29 instead of £1.99 from 'proper McDs !

We used to get the free refills from all of the Sheffield MD's, but when they brought in the stickers they all stopped the refills and said the stickers replaced the old system all the ones I use in Sheffield are franchises0

No thats not right
If you have a cold drink in costco cafe they give you a large cup that you can refill as many times as you like. MD are not involved0 -
Very interesting, I never knew you could get a free refill in UK maccy dee's. It's crazy how the US do things so differently to the UK.I hate twitches, but I LOVE glitches!!!0

One thing is guaranteed though, the second cup will taste completely different from the first. At least at Starbucks (£1 per cup and free refils) they taste the same everytime.0
