can i obtain my cashback if i cancel the insurance?

hi MSE

just a quick query if someone has been in the same situation.

a relative has a cashback deal through E2save, 11 months frre on a 12 month contract.

he took the free 3 months insurance which was offered as part of the deal, now he would like to cancel the insurance. does anyone know if this would invalidate any cashback claims?

i have read the t+c on the insurance, the only part i can see being relevant is

" if you do not pay the premium at the agreed time, we will assume that you want to end your cover under this policy. As a result, all benefits and entitlements will end."

can anyone shed any light on this?

thanks

The insurance contract should be separate from the phone purchase contract, therefore cancelling the insurance cover should not affect the cashback.
" if you do not pay the premium at the agreed time, we will assume that you want to end your cover under this policy. As a result, all benefits and entitlements will end."

Cancelling the insurance, according to this clause, will end all benefits and entitlements to you by the insurance company. It just means your policy will terminate.

However, it would be wise to check the cashback deal's T&C for mention of the insurance.

You can cancel the insurance anytime just by cancelling your direct debit.
This will not invalidate your cashback.
