Questions regarding changing handsets and plans
Hi
Can someone help with the following quetions please.
I am on an orange monthly contract until next april with a Blackberry handset but am thinking of getting a SIM free HTC hero for Xmas.
I have a plan which includes internet, if I put my SIM card into a new handset a HTC Hero will the tarriff work as before ie. no extra charges for data ?
Then if I cancel my contract in April how easy is it to set up the phone for pay as you go including internet ? do you have to change settings ?
Can I also change my phone number over to the pay as you go SIM card ?
Thanks

No problem putting the sim in a new phone.
What you will need to do is call Orange data support (or what ever their called) and get the MMS/internet/wap settings for the phone, if it's sim free it won't have any networks setting in it.
If you then put a payg sim from the same network you'll have no more problems, if you use a sim from another network you'll need the above setting for that network installing in the phone...
Hope that helps...0
