Changing Broadband Providers Help?

I'm with Tiscali, and would like to migrate to adsl4less. If I were to request a MAC before my 12mth contract expires, will I still have to pay Tiscali for the remainder?

well if tiscali need 30 days notice then you would notify them at month 11 of your intention to leave and that you need a MAC number to notify your new provider in advance....if you are trying to quit early they will make you pay up the 12 months

Thanks for you reply. Well I'm close to the end of my 12 mths, so I'll hold out and give notice soon then.

Maybe worth requesting your MAC now though in case of any delays on having it supplied by Tiscali.

Far as I know all such a request shud mean is that you are thinking of leaving them and who knows what fabulous offer Tiscali might come up with to try and keep you...
My website has lots of info and photos from various Greek and Canary Islands esp. about walking. My profile has the site address cos not allowed to put it here.

If you have to give 30 days notice - you might want to do that 30 days before the end of your contract !

Yes I will do that, I think it runs out mid/end february, will clarify and see to it.

Tiscali does not support Migration. today I phoned to check when my contract runs out, i was told I could give notice now, but they do not provide MAC.
So now I will have to sign up to a new provider. I'm looking for the most affordable to enter into.
  • Have you seen tiscali's new deals which apply to existing users later in the month ? do you still want to change?

I saw their new deals shortly after enquiring about cancelling yesterday, and when I phoned to find out more they said I could upgrade online from 11th.
