Anyone got the HTC MAGIC?

The price difference between it and the HTC hero now is minimal, the t-mobile pulse (also android) is £180, so no I wouldn't recommend it because for a little extra you can get a better phone.0

Hello Tommy,,
I love the phone HTC MAGIC , but the battery life is too bad,so go for something else atleast with good battery life, like Iphone or HTC Pulse etc.0 -
I don't agree that the battery life is bad. As long as it has been pretty much constantly charged for the first month like I told my OH to do, it will have a nice strong battery. She can about get 2 days from it with a mixture of using mobile internet, wifi and GPS and making a fair few calls. It has also lasted around 5 days with very light mobile internet use and large amounts of call time.
If you can get a good deal on it, such as £20/m on an 18 month contract with 600 mins, unlimited texts and 500MB internet (which is possible if you push vodafone), you are unlikely to find a better deal on a phone that is not that much different from the Hero (which is the phone that I have). My OH loves her Magic, as it is extremely simple to use, a pleasure to hold, has a better trackball than the hero (though this isn't really that big a deal), the haptic feedback is also much stronger (vibration on hitting the keyboard).
If however you cannot find a deal that is significantly cheaper than one you can get on a Hero, go for the Hero, as it does have a slightly better digital keyboard layout and that very hand 3.5mm headphone input.
Ofcourse I still prefer my Hero over the Magic.Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0
