You could clog up the forum with crap offers so the good ones get lost and people get fed up of trawling through it. Problem is, those muppets seem to love trawling through rubbish - the forum is 99% garbage and inane chat already.

Can't argue with that. Forum has sadly gone downhill over the last 12 months.

Someone should just join their site from here and post a link to this thread and so 'try it thickos, your not that could at sabotaging when everyone knows'
It will show everyone is aware aswell as Martin Lewis. Clog their forum and as this is probably ten times more popular and with a bigger backing let them try it.

I wouldnt say there is any need to worry though.

There are other forums on the internet too :)

Yep, and you told me once to go and find one :rotfl:..So I'm completely aware of this however none of the have anywhere near the same number of readers. Joe public is unlikely to stumble upon TGT, Rpoints (as it was), beatingbonuses.

It's nice to think we're really big and powerful and that our business close bookies down but most of the people on here are pretty small fry compared to those elsewhere.

There is a lot of small fry on here to clearly affect the thinking of bookies and how they determine which countries are entitled to their bonuses.

All I was saying was that I don't think that this is as risk free as it used to be. A few years ago you'd lose money if you made a mistake to dived in without understanding properly. Now you can lose money because too many pile into the same offer.

I obviously don't know how much Martin Lewis follows this forum or is aware of issues that people have had with certain bookies. I'd be curious to know his thoughts about Tipico etc.

Anyway, as I said, this site has made me a lot of money and will support it unless it results in people losing substantial amounts.

You've always made your position clear that you have not liked the forum to stay visible to all members. Aside from your oft-mentioned Tipico, I have yet noticed anything that is particularly detrimental towards the board, especially since sweetlady (and her bf) managed to use their knowledge to help board members settle the Bluesq fiasco and acknowledge their faults.

The Tipico offer is also an odd one, they always had a smaller offer for those signing up and welcomed UK members. It was mentioned on here and a few other forums and you cannot say for certain which forum it is that caused them to pull the offer. MSE may be more visible but you're picking on it because it's visible, not because you're sure they closed the offer after members of MSE joined on it.

The risks of joining an unknown bookie are always pointed out in the forum, people are always advised to join the more established names and then work their way from there.

This thread is now in the site feedback forum and will be highlighted and responded if necessary.

I've made a point in the past similar to this one. Too many diving into the same offer will cause problems and it did with Tipico. I have no problems with sharing the concept of matched betting but it's the sheer numbers doing a single offer at the same time that worries me. This is why I stayed away from bet-at-home until the last minute. My reasoning being that if it's going to be pulled then it will do early so don't get caught up in the mess.

It wasn't a single site - it was a collection of sites. I think you are being extremely naive if you think that MSE didn't make a huge contribution to that offer being pulled.

I think a useful function for any posts as mentioned above is the spam button - if everybody makes sure to click the spam button everyt ime there is a post trying to clog the forum up, the thread is automatically deleted.

I only found out about this the other day so posting it in case anybody else didn't realise it was there/how it worked.

Spam button is a great addition.
However this post hits the nail on the head, regarding how this board has deteriorated this last few months and possibly sheds a bit more light on why this is so.

I know 2 or 3 regs on here who have mentioned to me the damage that certain 'newbies' are trying to impact on here by their actions.

This op is an interesting and well presented point

The forum will cause it's own downfall.

There are a lot of people who have lost a lot of money in Tipico and some going to lose a lot more money as a a result of Betafterbet. Many more will follow as bookmakers will not allow a flock of sheep to rob them.

People on here will lose hundreds or thousands of pounds chasing £25 or £50 bonuses - top moneysaving:money:
