Hi there (again)
I just wanted people’s views on the above really.
Do you give Eye Q to any of your children? Do you notice a difference when they don’t take it?
Reason im asking is that DS was a wonderful start to the term and for the last week or so he’s been having major breakdowns at school again. I ran out of eye q about 2 weeks ago and haven’t got any more. The change in him at school has been so sudden and none of his teachers can see what’s triggered it. DS is also being assessed by the CAHMS team so hopefully they can soon help him with other ways to calm his behaviour.

Personally I gave this to my DS when he was small - he is 14 now and it changed him for the better I believe.
I took him off it gradually and he was fine, if we missed the odd week it didnt make much difference tbh. Perhaps its this or perhaps its something else, maybe look to see if anything else could have caused this change in behaviour? You can stand there and agonize........

I notice the difference in my son when he takes it. His concentration is much improved and he's calmer. Anything is worth a try....0

Thats what im thinking, bought some more at lunch the smooth ones £14.99. Im not saying that its all down to not taking fish oils. Just seems strange thats hs behavour has changed after he stopped taking them. I def think that it helps his concentration and then because he can concentrate better he can cope better with his feelings.0 -

Ive been racking my brains about whats changed. I went out last week and thats about it.
Its so strange. Going to start the Eye Q again and see what happens.0 -
I can't help with your question but I was wondering if you have found eye q better than other omega products. My 7yr old son has concentration issues but wouldn't take the bassets multi vits + omega because apparently they taste like worms!! I have looked at eye q but its very expensive but if I know people have seen good improvements I will give it a go. Is there a flavour that seems to go down the best with your kids??
Thanks0 -
Eye Q seems to be one of the best, thats what the chemist said anyway.
My DS tried the bottle of liquid - vanilla and the critus and it made him sick! I tried it and it wasnt nice at all.
We seem to get on well with the stawberry capsules - taste a bit like strawberry chewing gum thats lost its flavour, lol.
Im waiting on the boots 3 for 2 offer to come up so i can restock - i only got enough to last a couple of weeks! Havent a clue when its next on.0 -
my son has ADHD with with austistic tendencies, and EYE - Q is amazing, the change in him is fab, sure he still has outburst but no where near as bad as if he didnt have it, he has the liquid, but he wants to try the capsules next so gonna give em a goIf we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

I had never heard of this before, but I have a 9 y/o who has for years struggled to concentrate, and has developed all manner of coping mechanisms to get through at school. I am going to give this a try to see if it will give him the breakthrough he needs.
Can I ask how soon you began to see an improvement after starting your child on Eye Q?One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Hi,
heres a link to the eye q site

I found a difference just after a week. If they are new to fish oils they suggest upping the dose until the body starts storing it. And then reduce it back down to the normal dose.0 -
I would reccomend getting a book called 'Bad Science' by Ben Goldacre. He does an interesting take on the non-scientific analysis and hype behind Eye-Q and concludes there's no real evidence to show it works. But it may have a placebo effect if you believe it does! The way the 'trial' of the product was conducted is quite shocking when you examine it.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0
