Best Tariff?
Hi
I have a very small part time home business and need a mobile that I can use specifically for this purpose. It will be mainly used to recieve cals on so I was thinking a pay as u go sim would be ideal. In your opinion which network provides the best tariff?
thanks Jen xx

If you only need a number to receive calls, then as suggested get a PAYG sim card. Many shops including supermarkets sell them. For receiving all you really need is a good signal from your operator where you plan to use it.
If you plan to use the phone for calls, texts, internet then you will probably need to find a more suitable PAYG contract, some 30 day rolling ones at £5-15 a month might suit you well.

http://shop.orange.co.uk/mobile-phones/plans/simPlanList.jsp?cmsPageId=02500 (30 day contract)
http://shop.orange.co.uk/mobile-phones/sim-only/pay-as-you-go (a true PAYG sim)

If you need a phone aswell, i.e. dont have an old one about, then i would pop into an operators shop like t-mobile, orange etc, and pickup a PAYG phone, they cost on average from £20-80 depending on features.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Hey thanks Darkconvict, I'll take a look at those.
thanks again Jen x0 -
No problems, if you can narrow down your exact requirements more im sure we can find better deals suited to your needs.
Remember to check quidco / topcashback before ordering to see if you can rake in some more savingsAlthough no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Ah thanks for all your advice, I've decided to go with the tesco sim card. It has great reviews and is great value.

Sounds obvious, but if this is a contract not PAYG, do you have signal in your area?Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Its payg and as its o2 network there is 99% coverage in the uk.0
-
99% is a bold claim, but you'll be surprised how many places might not get coverage. As its PAYG its not a big deal, if you dont get coverage where you need it, get a PAYG with someone elseAlthough no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

I'd always if you want the very very cheapest option, and won't make that many calls, recommend Asda Mobile PAYG
8p per min to any uk landline or mobile.
4p per text.
Scandalously cheap
Coverage should be ok as they piggyback on Vodafone.0 -
Thanks again for all your advice, I love this website everyone is really helpful.
I've read loads and loads of reviews for the tesco sim and not one bad one. I always research things before I buy. I'll let you know what I think when I start using it.
thanks again Jen xx0
