When I placed the Asda order last week it showed in stock not a mention of backorder at all! Play status shows as packing but the lady at Play says the stock is on back order and the item has not been sent out! Of course I have asked for refunds but that's not the point! Surely companies should not take payment until the stock is ready to dispatch or did I miss the point!

i just spoke to play.com and the chap confirmed that thegarage item that shows as "packing" is unavailable but i have already been charged for it! naughty naughty play.com.
i have requested a refund, as i would prefer to get my money back & take my chances with other stores getting stock in this week.

Ive just rang Play, I explained I ordered the car on the 12th and the money was taken from me on the 13th however ive still not received it and my order status is shown as packing. She said this is because theres none in but i will get it when they get some more. I told her someone else ordered this at the same time as me and they received theirs, and also when i ordered it it WAS in stock and that they have charged me, so she put me on hold for a mo, she then told me she is sending a query up to the warehouse because it is showing that there was stock allocated to me!! So, im now waiting. The surfboard is showing as awaiting stock so now i dont know what if anything im going to get from them, I will be demanding my money back for the car if i dont hear anything in the next few days from them regarding the query to the warehouse!!

i have just posted on the ebay swap forum, the other half has finally secured our num nums yayyyy, and also spotted a chunk and pipsqueek while he was out so bagged them too. we are after some add on sets and accessories so we are up for swapping see me on ebay if interested x

I rang John Lewis in Oxford Street - they said they have no houses (or anything else hamster-ish) and aren't expecting anything until the start of December.

Play told me they would submit a query to the warehouse to refund my money and I will get an email confirmation. We shall wait and see.....
