New poster on this forum......well done to all you die-hard hamster hunters though.

I'm looking for a hamster and house for my stepdaughter as she has specifically requested a hamster from Father Christmas this year. Unfortunately, she is allergic to all animals and has bad excema amongst other things. Saw these advertised and thought they would be perfect for her little realising they were the "hot toy" this year lol!!

Have tried Wilkinsons Luton and Dunstable this morning. Dunstable had none in their delivery and Luton said they had a delivery note with hamsters on but none in the actual delivery. They are "still searching" hmmmm.

just houses as far as i'm aware but i had to go through my glasgow branch so they may have other items call and check!!

Just a bit of a long shot but any posters who live on the south coast could try a trip to france! There's a massive toys rus, tesco and sainsburys near the channel tunnel in calais. Perhaps the french aren't as obsessed as we are with hamsters and there's loads in stock!. Also eurotunnel are doing a day trip for £15 a car, I don't work for them!
I've got relatives going on 5/6th dec so can let you know then or I may tryand be brave and ring them up, if I can brush up on my french for hamster! Worth a try I suppose if things are desperate.

lol I had that idea; I was in Calais 10 days ago (not last weekend but one before); and I did check the Toys R Us in the EuroShopping Centre - they had no hamsters and hadn't heard of them and my grds had never seen them either. It seems as though they haven't been released in France yet as they would need to have the boxes translated etc. Will let you know if I find out otherwise though.

Everyone. Just wanted to say be careful when buying hamsters and accessories on Asda Direct and Play.com. I ordered a car on Play.com Friday last week and the status says packing. When I checked my bank account they have taken the money but I have not received the item. When I rung Play they say the item is on backorder as there is no stock! Exactly the same with Asda have taken the money but the items are on backorder. With no delivery times to speak off!

Both items were in stock when orders were placed!
