Thats what play have done to me, im going to ring them now!

Im sat in all day awaiting my (2nd attempt) John Lewis delivery of my funhouse so until it comes i cant venture out hamster hunting today!

If you call tell them another store was showing they had them in stock and you'd like to order one that's what i did and they ordered them for delivery in 7-10 working days,

Just called John Lewis in Oxford Street - no stock - very nice lady said they were hoping to have stock in middle of next week - sigh - search goes on...............

just to update none in stock wilkinsons chester le street or sunderland
or toysrus gateshead.
toysrus will have a queing system 9am friday 1 per customer

I've just phoned Empire as their tracking system is still down.
The lady said my order (hamsters) are now at the couriers depot but aren't showing on a van, so it could be today or tomorrow - so it means two days of waiting in just in case.

sorry , i did try i just don't understand how 30 sold out straight away in a shop??? i thought they may have lasted a few minutes at least

Last info I got was that there were no Cars (or wheels or slides) expected in the country this side of Christmas.

IIRC the most recent Asda Houses were for preorder with dispatch of 27/11/2009 and the two Hamster surges from Asda were preorder with dispatch of 20/11/2009 and 21/11/2009 respectively; that might explain why they are on backorder.

With Play, "Packing" is usually a very good indication that you should get your order. If you have "Awaiting Stock" and "Order Taken" it means they don't have the stock to hand and haven't charged your card. If you have been in the "Packing" stage foe more than a couple of days AND your card has been charged, I would recommend contacting them and asking them to refund you, as Play are not meant to charge until dispatch.
