Just to confirm on tomthumbs info earlier Bellshill Tesco extra have hamster stock all 4 of them and they had quite a few

hi i was told by toys r us no more before christmas. perhaps some shops will keep you hanging on the hope you go in and purchase something else. yorkshire toy compnay did this. i bought my items then the next stock update they increased their prices and offered a free hamster if you spent £75 on other toys but you couldn't actually buy a hamster. hooray for toys also increased their prices when new stock arrived and charging more than they were a month ago so be warned the shops are on to how to make a profit as well as ebay.

The hammies are back on play.com for £30 inc delivery. I ordered 1 from there last week at much much less. Are you saying I might not get it cos the money has gone from my bank boo hoo! I work in Oldham where character r based & very kindly offered them a personal visit save on the posting but they didnt take me up on it

This is probably a market place seller (like on Amazon) not actually Play itself - they have been at RRP when available!!.

The £30 hamsters and £40 add ons etc are not being sold directly by play.com, they are from their play trade sellers. Stuff from play is more or less sold at the RRP.

I have a new laptop so have been alternating between the F5 key and the mouse just so I don't wear it out to fast! Although, I do seem to remember there being a post about F5 keys on ebay?

Why?

We have today been told exactly our stock allocation. It is much less than ordered, and less than we'd like. We expect to be out of stock within minutes, especially if all of those people who have found us in the last week or so log on.

We are sorry that we can not see into the future or we would have ordered 1000's of times more stock, being able to help many more of you with the toy of Christmas 2009.

We hope that you all find what you are looking for before the big day.

Not looking for hamsters at all but have spotted this thread popping up now and again.
Just to let people know I was just doing my shopping at TESCO BELSHILL 20 minutes ago and I would guess that they had around 100 hamsters on the shelves. Never saw any of the other bits (but not sure what i'd be looking for to be honest)
Its a new store just behind the main street-hope this helps some people out.
