I give up. Luckilly I held out on getting bits and bobs hoping to get all I wanted in one go so I do not need to carry on this madness to complete a set.

And have the perfect solution. My girls s always get money for christmas from far away relatives (Oldham by the way, hello fellow Oldhamers) If they want them, they can buy them in the New Year. They can do their own little Hammie Hunt. Maybe even 1/2 price, (I wish) Now I can get on with the rest of my xmas shopping!

yip defo over 100 in one store i collected 4 for a neighbour and her sister tonight , don't know why they won't send stock on from another store!

Hurray! Managed to collect a couple of hamsters and a house from Tesco today. I had ordered them online the other day.
When the assistant checked them out to me she said that she was shocked that I'd been able to get any at all and that they were ike gold dust. People are asking her all the time for hamsters. I'm so glad I was lucky thanks to the lovely people on here.
On the shelf in my local Tesco it says stock due 24th Nov (may have been 26th badly written though). It looks as though that was for accessories not hamsters which is actually what I'm now searching for. I'd really like a wheel and a ball. Any other accessories would be great too, so keeping a look out and keeping fingers crossed!
I haven't even had the chance to unpack my Tesco order yet to check that everything's ok, but when I do I may have a spare hamster to offer on the ebay group if everything is present and correct!

have you all tried your local argos? ours have had none in all week, they closed at 8pm so tried again and just got the car at hyde! must of been someones reservation that they havn't collected, so now its mine

Dear Customers,

Due to the hysteria surrounding Go Go Hamsters I thought I'd send out an email reguarding the stock situation.

Wednesday at 6pm we will be putting stock live on the Web site. This will now only happen Wednesday and not over other days as stated previously.

Why?

We have today been told exactly our stock allocation. It is much less than ordered, and less than we'd like. We expect to be out of stock within minutes, especially if all of those people who have found us in the last week or so log on.

We are sorry that we can not see into the future or we would have ordered 1000's of times more stock, being able to help many more of you with the toy of Christmas 2009.

We hope that you all find what you are looking for before the big day.

Hi all, I'm lucky in that I have a DH who spotted these quite early on and got our 5 year-old a couple of hamsters (num nums and pipsqueak), plus beds, a carrier and a house. I managed to get a Mr Squiggles from DVD.co.uk last week (now not showing any stock at all BTW) and then thought it would be good to have the ball and the wheel - came across this thread whilst searching...wow! I'm now getting swept up in the thrill of the chase!!

I've emailed some friends who are visiting the States to see if they could find any and bring them back, and have also had a kind offer from a friend on Facebook who lives in London (bless him, "do you want me to have a look in our Toys R Us for you?" - the little naive lamb!) - I've warned him that it may well be carnage and he could be fighting with hordes of desperate women, but hey, who am I to stop him?!

I refuse to pay over the odds (don't mind a couple of quid over RRP but no silly prices, ie Ebay) so DD will have to wait until 2010 if we can't get the ball and wheel before Christmas - I'm sure she will be happy with the ones we've already got anyway!

I have read the above posts about stock being released at 6pm tomorrow on CMG - will not be able to partake in that frenzy as my kids have their swimming lessons then. Think will now give up and try my luck in the real world another day!
