It would be nice if the stores could be less vague and a little more specific, I remember waiting for buzz on the 22nd december when they specifically told us they were getting a truck load in and there were many a parent there also, it was worse than that arnie film but I got one:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OMG sounds like a nightmare :rotfl:

Well lets hope it helps some on here. In the last hour there has been 90 odd posts on here. Imagine as it leads up to Christmas. It is impossible to keep up with it - if you've got a life that is:D

Let's all take a trip to benidorm then if they have stock there:rotfl::rotfl:

She said it's just a service, not an actual argos shop. I looked on the ireland argos site and they have no stock for delivery though. I'm thick - does southern ireland have a different site?

I wrap them because they are cheeky kids looking around the house, if they were to spot it, they would not dare to unwrap it to see inside, I would flip:rotfl:

  • do you know what really gets me as well is my daughter only stated she was DESPERATE for these hamsters last week so thats when I started the mad serach and when the Sainsbury's half price sale was on a few weeks back I saw the beds/carriers for half price in there (£2.99 or less)... there was a whole stack of the things too. If only she could have told me then!

Hi there, I realise this thread has been going a while with 316 pages.. wow! I have also been on the quest for Go go hamsters and accessories for christmas and the more i was told '' we sold out yesterday'' or ''sold our last ones 5 mins ago'' the more I was determined to find one. Amazon was coming up with £49 !! however play.com was still saying £9.99 . I clicked buy now and started to enter my details, I was informed delivery would be 3-5 weeks, this struck me as odd as delivery on the website was within a few days. I found play.coms contact number and rang them. I was told they didnt actually have any in stock but were hopefully waiting for some more to come in from the manufactuor and they would be dispatched accordingly.
Upon going into Go Go hamsters official website I found contact details and rang them and was told there would be no more deliverys this side of christmas other than some that were possibly on route to argos for distribution into select stores around the 15th dec.
With this in mind please be aware those of you that buy from play.com you may not receive what you have paid for this side of christmas as they do not actually have any!!!!

I ended up buying hamster £17.00 and funhouse £30.00 on EBAY , didnt see any other way of getting one and I thiink the prices come December will be sky high. ;)

well has anyone in the north east had any luck with the hamster hunting so far this week , cos ive tried everywhere and found nothing , most of the stores just saying sorry out of stock at the moment , waiting for stock coming in and just to keep trying.

Best bet in the newcastle / gateshead area is the 2 big wilkinsons. They definitely keep getting hamsters in. if you ring them up they'll be able to see on the computer if they've ordered any stock for their store and when it is due in. Some wilkinsons had playsets and add ons in stores, but never saw these in newcastle / gateshead. Also boots in eldon square sometimes get a few hamsters and playsets in which are going in 5 mins flat (metro centre boots hasn't got them), tesco kingston park sometimes has hamsters and playsets, but again gone before you blink. TJ Hughes in newcastle had hamsters, houses and cars I think at some stage last week. Some have mentioned finding things in Asda and Sainsburys but only in certain stores (like one sainsburys in silksworth sunderland and an asda in boldon) but nothing in gateshead newcastle as far as i'm aware. One of the other forum members asked about Durham before but I didn't notice any responses - although the site was unavailable for a while so I might have missed something. I think there's a big asda or sainsburys at Pity me next to the land registry offices which people have managed to get stuff from as well. best just to ring all the sainsbuys asdas and tesco in the NE to find out who may be getting stock in or not. Toysrus gateshead don't even have a space for their hamsters in the seasonal aisle! but might be getting some bits in toward the end of the week like some others have reported about their local stores. Oh and nothing in argos in northumberland or tyne and wear for about a week (although may get some bits in later this week I think) - oh I lie, there was one car at Jarrow which I posted about, and one hamster somewhere else that another forum member posted about. We are really spoilt for choice up here, I know...
