I've just had an email from Base to say the hamster I ordered has been despatched. I don't even remember ordering it, or how much I paid. Yet another example of my disorganised christmas!

Ha, ha, a bar of galaxy with a wrapper printed on a PC, clever idea! I'm pretty good at doing stuff like that on the PC, may be I should copy the idea but with cadbury's chocolate bars...I'll post my ebay numbers when sorted LOL :rotfl:

there were hamsters showing in stock on wilkinson plus just now, but by the time i went through checkout they were gone
i have failed miserably to find any, i am always too late :rolleyes:

I know people on the thread have managed to get their money back that they paid over the RRP from Tesco which is something I guess.

I've ordered from Mailorderexpress last christmas and found their customer service lacking so probably wouldn't order from them again - greedy whatnots!

It's called business. If people are prepared to pay the price then businesses will charge it.

I went into wilkinsons today, none on the shelves so i went to CS and asked when they were due in.

She said 2000 were due into the main distribution warehouse today but they hadnt arrived yet. She said as soon as they arrive at the warehouse, she would be able to order me 1 using their ''old'' system, meaning i wouldnt have to pay for it until it arrived in store.

She gave me their number to ring back 1st thing and check.

I then went to my local toymaster and asked their - they have a list of people waiting so i put my name on the list so i could see the book, i'm number 38 on the list, lol.

She was surprised that all i requested was 1 hamster (any).
I had a quick scan at the list and some people are really taking the p!ss. 1 person wants 10 of everything, but the SA said he wouldnt even get a phonecall as its obvious they'll be going straight on ebay, and thats not what they stand for, they want proper genuine customers to recieve them.

You were lucky. I asked in Wilkinson today and she told me she didn't know when stock was due in just it would be soon. There are none to be found in Somerset I have looked and asked everywhere, one little toyshop I asked in the man who runs it told me he would not stock them as toys are for life not just for xmas day! Think I wasn't the only person to ask he wasn't too happy and gave me a long lecture on gimmick toys lol!! Oh well will continue searching again......

Woohooo!! Just picked up my hamster order from Tesco (my very first go go stuff)....couldn't believe they were actually there....was expecting to be told there was a mix up and that they didn't have any. Thanks so much to everyone helping out on this thread!

Anyone know of anywhere I can swap hamsters??

I ordered 3 from Amazon on friday and received today, I have 1 mr squiggle & 2 pipsqueaks.

Would idieally like to swap a pipsqueak for either num num or chunk.

If nowhere to swap what would you think is my best option??

Lol it wasn't a little toyshop in Taunton was it? This sounds just like someone I have dealt with in the past. Whenever I went into the shop to ask for Beanie Babies I always got a lecture. :rotfl:
