Just back from my Wilkies Ashton U Lyne and they said they have an order of hamsters coming in tomorrow night so will be on the shelves on Wednesday morning when they open. Be worth checking your local Store.
Hope you're feeling better MM xx0 -

I wonder if by Christmas this forum, started by Mookie, could beat a MSE record for number of views or replies?:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -
For me, it's pointless trying to get to wilkinsons. I just wouldnt get there in time after the children have left for school. I've got park and ride to swansea or drive to llanelli by which time the local llanelli people will have got there earlier.
Unless of course the kids don't mind getting their own brekkie that morning and I drive down to Wilkinsons and camp out on the doorstep nice and early!Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0 -

That's certainly impressivecould be a Grabbit record?!
I recall the Madeline McCain thread had big numbers but that was closed
How's your back MM - hope there's not any damage (hate it when people can't drive/don't indicate/cut you up)
Do you think you will stay on MSE when the hamster frenzy is over?0 -
I was wondering if anyone has seen the hamster ad. on any of kids channels? I never have and was wondering how the kid have got to know about them?? (My 2 have not said anything about them - yet).
They were advertised regularly on TinyPop up until recently, by Character Online. That's a Freeview kids cartoon channel, which is basically the same 4 or 5 shows over and over again with loads of Toy adverts. Hope that helps!0 -

I just want to express my gratitude to the customer services team at character online. Despite the fact they must be snowed under heaps and heaps of hamsters, they still managed to physically phone me (within 1 working day!!) and sort out my order.
I think this is outstanding service as most companies can not even be bothered to acknowledge an email let alone do anything about it.
Thank you Character-online :T
Truly amazing and with 2 young daughters I will be coming to your site first for future presents.
DD1 and DD2 will be ecstatic and i have managed to get 95% of theit Go Go Hamster stuff from Character-online too. Now I need to get them elusive balls and jobs a good un.

Thank you for asking. Its still sore, which it will be for a few days, but i'll just get on with things as when you are an independent consultant, no work = no pay. Funny thing was the person I was assessing today wasn't as bad as me!
Well, as for staying on MSE, I don't know. My quest all started off a few weeks ago when I read in a newspaper about this must have christmas toy and thought it would be great for all the kids in my (very large ) extended family and for my friend's children. So I did the usual thing at first, got bits from Toysrus. Then it snowballed somewhat thinking well I could just get them a ball each, and what about a house, and oooooh I like that slide... I came across this site a couple of weeks later and found it very useful as I hadn't even heard of most of the online toy stores. So anyway, I didn't get the hang of it at first, as I was finding stock, posting the info, then going back to debate whether to get anything or not. And of course by that time, the little hamster hunters on here had got there before me. So through spending hours and hours looking for different sites, and getting bits and pieces along the way (or not as the case may be - I'd always thought once something was in your basket it stayed there till you checked out - how wrong I was LOL). So that's how I've managed to accumulate lots of site info and tips to post, through my own trial and error and also through ringing up and e mailing different sites and companies on a regular basis to find info to post. It has taken over my life so once this week is over, I really must bow out because as per my mega info post this morning, I've posted every bit of info i've accumulated to pass on to the new lot of hamster hunters, so there is really nothing more I can contribute. However, no doubt I will still be curious and will be dipping in and out to see what you are all up to :rotfl::snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -
