Can I just say a huge thank you to everyone on this thread for stock finding and entertainment!
I'll miss this thread when Christmas comes around and we're all busy [STRIKE]playing with our hamsters [/STRIKE]watching our children playing with their hamsters... *Ahem*

I haven't been quick enough to spot stock and post it on here, but I really do appreciate everyone's efforts.

im a bit confused why makro has told me they arnt getting their stock till a week 2morrow when everyone else seems to be getting theres this week? see im gonna be spending most of my week phoning and ringing supermarkets and shops at the same time as checking on line i hope it rains next week so i dont have to go to work pmsl (im a landscape gardener)

Then your best bets online early to mid week are character and cmgiftsandcollectables as we know they are definitely getting these items

Maybe but im sure i read 21,000, that doesnt seem too many for the whole country, so many per store and a bunch for online stock.

Don't forget although the stock from the distributor will be going to the main warehouses of these places, that it will depend on how often their own warehouse deliver stock to their branches hence the likelihood that things will start appearing around 17/11. May be Makro don't have such regular deliveries to their stores or may be the person gave you duff info...

I think this week will be tough in shops as people are now hyped up thinking this is the last lot in before christmas.

Some tips for hitting the shops.

1. Eat a good breakfast to keep your enery level up as you may not be stopping for lunch!

2. Take some Rescue Remedy with you in case you get too stressed.

6. Keep your cash and cards in a bum bag and leave your handbag at home, you will need both hands free for pushing and shoving any shoppers out of the way and for grabbing Mr Squiggles when you spot him on the shelf.

7. Turn off your mobile phone. Sick children at school will not be neglected, children are remarkably hardy you know. You will see your husband when you get home and besides he shouldn't be using the office phone to call you, anyway. You need to concentrate and don't need the distraction of a phone!

8. Comfy shoes please. Or winkle pickers that will deliver a good kick to the woman in front who just grabbed the last Chunk. As she yelps in pain and drops Chunk it would only be polite of you to pick Chunk up. And run off with him to the till damn quick.

9. Get in touch with your sat nav service provider and ask if they can change their speed camera warning to one that links up with Go Go Hamster Stock checker so that you can immediately do a hand break turn in the middle of the high street and head off to a store that has just got some more stock in.

10. Cheat. As you enter a shop behind a gaggle of shoppers heading off for the toy aisle, suddenly shriek at the top of your voice, "OMG they've put all the go go hamsters over in the drinks aisle HALF PRICE", sidestep the stampede and then saunter over to the toy aisle to get what you want.

Well, that's the problem, this batch of stock for all retailers is much smaller than they wanted. I actually saw the computer screens in 3 of the wilko stores and they all said the same, 2,000 or maybe it was 2,100...
