  • Evening all
well i went into town (notts) today with my friend and searched all the usual shops boots, wilkinsons, john lewis and debenhams and absolutely nothing!!! there was space on the shelf in john lewis for some houses and hamsters but nothing there, i found a lady to ask her when they are getting some in but all she thought i was on about was proper pets and started trying to sell me some camera that you attach to your dog/cat collar so you can see what they get upto when they are out and about - actually sounds pretty cool lol however i failed to see the relevance to go go hamster stock lol, she had never heard of them!!! so that drew a blank! the other shops didnt even have space for any so no hope there!
i dont think they have heard of them in nottingham!
my mum and dad are back tuesday so i'm hoping my dad will run me round the supermarkets and up to tru later this week xx

Hey, I'm in Notts too and I've had no luck so far in town - also went on a tour today lol. The only place I've seem them in the past was Toys R Us (Riverside) who said they will be getting deliveries by next weekend (limited to one item per customer - in case ebayers are already planning a trip lol) - I'm supposed to be banned from buying hamster stuff from there though , waiting on a reply from my letter to the HeadOffice :P
And at John Lewis (in Victoria) I was told they will be getting stocks in the second week of December; which imo is prob leaving it a bit late.

    Heres some useful statistics

Based on the last 10 of each hamster sold on Ebay, here are the current average selling prices (that sold).

    Highest first.

    1 Mr squiggles £23.94
    2 Num Nums £22.80
    3 Chunk £21.12
    4 Pipsqueak £20.17

Just so you know when your getting a good deal.

Chunk is no longer in bottom place :j

Maybe Robin Hood held up the delivery lorries!

:rotfl::rotfl:think you are right there lol
  • generaloneil, I think it is a good idea to be aware of the recommended retail prices than think what you really would be prepared over the top of that to get the hamster or accessory you need.

It's all too easy to be temporarily blinded by 'having' to get the item and then realising how much over the top you have paid and feel bad about doing so.

I am prepared to pay an extra fiver on top of the hamsters plus any postage charges if I buy online. That is the limit I've set for myself because at the end of the day whilst I would like to get these things, my children are not actually going to suffer if they don't get them!
Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.

  • I did see on ebay.com in the US that they had customized some Chunks with coloured dye!

Chunk is all white which I think some parents were concerned over him getting dirty as opposed to num nums who is grey coloured but I think chunk is rather cute myself!
