  • bear in mind with macro tho that you do have to be a member and have a card so you wont get in without one maybe if you dont have one do you have a friend that could lend you the card? they have a gate at the front of the shop and you have to hand over your card to be let in

VAT is 15% until the end of the year - so whatever the ticket price is in makro, you need to add 15% to work out what you will actually pay!
  • i was given monday the 23rd of november altho i suggest ringing before you go in to double check might not be across the country this is just what my local one told me

yeah its funny bacause me and clare go in their regualy for lunch on a sunday mainly because its cheap lol and i totaly forgot about their toy section and as its not a shop you can just walk into i presume they wouldnt sell out that quickly the only down side i can see if there are any shop owners or traders in they will buy up the whole stock of them hope this helps people :)

Well after being pleased I didn't need any my SIL asked me to get some for her (she works fulltime + overtime) and 2 friends have asked me to keep an eye out:rolleyes: so I'm on the hunt too now, after reading several pages I've gathered Tuesday is hamster day? online and instore, can anyone suggest the best way to spend my day ie which stores to go to first or just say in on the lappy? and finally how sure are we Monday will be too early for stock?
I feel sorry for the parents who's kids haven't told them they want them yet after all it's only mid November.

ha, ha, didn't you post some info about some stock about a week ago and said obviously you didn't get it cos you didn't need it - bet you are kicking yourself now :rotfl:

The stock is supposed to be being delivered to various warehouses on 16th or 17th so expected to filter into SOME branches of some shops (like wilkinsons and the supermarkets) and some websites thereafter if they have placed an order for any stock, so could be that day, the next day, and so on. What we do know is that stock levels will be small so there won't be alot to go around. If you have a look through my posts from today you'll see i've put a big post somewhere about which shops etc to check.

I was in TRU in tunbridge wells earlier (not looking for hamsters though as i have mine thanks to this forum, and posters), i did have a look and noticed both areas where hamsters etc were, had other things... couldnt see one hammie in sight, yet earlier in week there were loads! Anyway, i overheard a girl saying to her (i assume mum) 'they were on the news, and they are really popular' i could only imagine how gutted the parents must feel knowing their child wants one and everywhere is sold out, even though all my xmas shopping is done, some people must think that starting their shopping in mid nov is early.... and there must be more people out there that dont even know yet

They advised us that 'coming soon' meant 2010.
