  • I also never list when Eastenders is on, I either start listings before or after it's started/finished.

It's the same as Amazon's Marketplace, except the fees are a little less. Listing is exactly as you state, hence things cropping up - it's the manual entry from a seller making that happen, not Play.

Interesting, i've always only listed a few bits and pieces that I didn't want on ebay before and never considered using amazon or play.com. i would imagine their fees with be higher though.

Chunk has just gone on ebay for £12 maybe the markets gone?

Wouldn't bet on it - probably, at this time, parents are either out and the kids are with babysitters / grandparents, or they are doing baths and stories and bedtimes, eating their own dinners, etc.

  • I've listed and sold a few things on Amazon but haven't sold anything for ages, not sure if the couple of things I had listed there are still on, will have to check.

I do prefer Ebay as I've been using Ebay since 2002 and it's familiar.

  • me too i think its a wicked thing to do its a child toy after all not a concert ticket or something

Wicked? Come off it! No need to buy a hamster any more than a concert ticket.

I've only ever sold bits and pieces on ebay to de-clutter, and books on Amazon, but I don't have a problem with people doing it.

Okay granted need is not the appropriate term but in my case my sister can't have a real hamster she would kill it (not deliberately but she would prob squash the poor wee thing) the silly hamsters that go in a ball run away from her (she can't walk) so very frustrating for her that's why i desperately "want " to get her these hamsters it will probably be the closest thing to a pet she could ever have so if i can get the funds i will be one of the suckers paying 4 x rrp for the parts i want

It sounds like a great toy for her - but you could always get her the hamsters for Christmas, and the other bits later on, when they are easily available and cheaper, surely?

Just looked at the fee structure and Play say "Our fees are an incredibly low 10% commission plus 50p per completed sale. If you plan to sell a lot of items we recommend you apply to become a ProTrader. A ProTrader does not incur the 50p closing fee and can list as many items as they want. A ProTrader account costs £19.99 per month." Don't know if that would work out any cheaper than the listing, final payment and paypal fees on ebay. Then again probably not because you have to offer free post and if you want your funds transferred to your bank account, they charge 5% transfer fee whereas for paypal its free over a certain amount I think.

I was tempted to put my little chunky on for a ridiculous price just for the fun of it, but I couldn't bare parting with him :rotfl:

Saturday night is always a 'things going for lower' night because people are glued to the tv or out on the town so there are less people hovering to make a last minute bid frenzy.

OMG since haveing kids I cant quite remember what "out on the town" means!!!
  • My OH is out on the town tonight - his turn (-:
