I'll leave the order running then maximouse, you never know lol

Yes don't cancel it. Just keep your eyes open in case anything else comes up and if it does, just go into your account and cancel it. They don't charge till dispatch and I'm sure someone said they were expecting an order in by the end of the month.

  • my order for 2 hamsters from Amazon this morning is now showing as 'dispatching soon' thanks to the selfless poster on this site. I am so excited, can't wait to see which two my girls have got, just want them in my hand so i can relax. roll on tomorrow, I am off to Asda straight after the brownie drop off in the hope of getting lucky for assessories.

I just thought I would add in my 2 cents worth about the hooray for toys site, I have actually been on the phone with the woman there today and she said that she has actually had to unplug the phone at times as all she is doing is fielding phone calls and not getting peoples orders ready and sent out! She had also emailed me very late one night and when i asked her about this she said i must have been very lucky as she is getting inundated with emails as well about this product in particular and just doesn't have enough hours in the day to sort everything out.

I'm guessing its a family run sort of business and that she probably only has one or 2 people besides herself working there which could be way shes not answering calls or mails.

Just thought I'd clarify things a little :)

What's happened I got my house and hamsters when this thread 1st started., now my sister wants a hamster for my niece and they're nowhere to be found!!!

Anyway Kays/Littlewoods have got them for £12 with delivery in 28 days around the 15th Dec, cutting it fine but maybe worth ordering just in case none become available anywhere else

I just rang Asda at the Gateshead Metro Centre out of curiosity because they hadn't heard of them last week. Talked to a really lovely guy and he said that they had had a few hamsters in but none now. He said that the trouble was the people were hoarding them in the anticipation that they would run out before christmas, then he said in a concerned voice that someone had bought FIVE (emphasised) the other day. I must admit that made me giggle as 5 seemed such a small number considering some of the stories we've heard (also 5 could just be for one family if they have a few kids).

    Hi

Yes, I joined on about Page 3 and have got everything now, I'd definitely recommend looking in Toys R Us and Wilkinson. Toys R Us had quite a few carriers and a couple of beds the other day which I've not seen there before and Wilkinson had about 9 Hamsters the other day and 3 there today.
