All the shops and online stores i've spoken to recently in my quest to get info to post on this forum, have been absolutely overwhelmed with hamster related phone queries, e mails, and people calling in. Most seemed absolutely demented by the constant queries and many had just had to stop answering the phone as they would just have spent all day, everyday, giving the same info over and over again (mmmmmmm deja vu)

Just logged on to play.com and find that this mornings surfboard order is now back in my basket and showing out of stock so looks like thats another disappointment to add to the list

I can appreciated how annoying it can be when someone doesn't get back to you but she has been anything but rude to me - sometimes she doesn't answer the phone but they are a small family run internet business and i would imagine this Hamster malarky has taken her by surprise - she is clearly busy. I rang her at 4.15pm Thurs night and she was as helpful as could be but did explain she HAD to get her orders out (they had over 200 orders Tues night) otherwise she would be in trouble. I understood this but she still rang me back at 5.30pm ish to carry on our conversation. Give her the benefit of the doubt. Once i rang her and she had to ring me back as she had a customer coming in - but she did ring me back.

I am sure she gets a lot of multiple orders on the Hamsters stuff and i know she now has restrictions - maybe this one time there has been crossed wires. I am sure if you persevere calmly you can get this sorted out with her as she seems very amiable to me.

I can't believe the price people are paying for these hamstars and the shear greed of some people. I have been n following this thread from the beginning and have 2 hamsters and a play house. If I can't get anymore then so be it. Not lining the pockets of others. My 4 year old saw these in a shop in the summer if I had known what I know then I would have bought it all. Oh hindsight!!

When character, the UK distributor get the playsets (surfboard, skateboard and ball) in next week I think you'll find that stock of these, that has been ordered by online stores and shops will start to filter into the system too. And as Play were taking orders today, I suspect that they have placed an order from character or they wouldn't have listed the items on their website as they'd taken them all off last week.
