It was you folks trying to get in early that caused the problems yesterday with the constant F5s. The effect of that is to effectively load the server to seem like it is supporting 10s x the number of Actual visitors on site and it buckled.

The F5s actually got in the way of them trying to add the stock and run the stock updater (which is apparently a fairly hungry activity on the server).

As a consequence I will not be able to post listing times any more.

Join the club i have to go out at 12pm and im still sat here in my pyjamas still refreshing play lol i need to move my bum even my daughter is demanding i get dressed lol

Just wanted to post a thankyou to Liz, I was one of the lucky ones who managed to get my order in on character yesterday thanks to your early posting.
I hope you didn't get into trouble with them over it, and fair enough they don't want any more times posting.
Just have to keep an eye on the site on the days they list and see.

The stores will plan their purchases months in advance.

The factories apparently also need up to 4 months notice of orders too.

So once announced as a top toy and the popularity kicks in, it is almost too late to react ... it is guesswork in advance.

Apparently last year the toy stores over-ordered and got left with stock. So probably a bit more cautious this year.

I wonder how many pre-orders they are going to take for the hamsters as you can still order them...

Play must know that this forum exists and that we are all now constantly refreshing their website. Why don't they just list the bloomin stuff and be done with it and then we'll go away and leave them and their server in peace!
