Dependent upon the airfreighting, the delivery date has been brought forward 2 days. I have an email from Character saying so.

Based upon what happened with the Hamster packs today, I think that they will list only when they are in their warehouse, tho they may list even on 17th if confident.

Just had an email from HeroesforKids saying that they are now sold out of the hamsters' even tho it said in stock when i did my order. Not totally unexpected as someone else reported similar earlier today. However they did say:
"Our guaranteed delivery is due in to us at the end of November.

Go Go Hamsters - Mr Squiggles, Pipsqueek, Num Nums and Chunk - On Back Order.

Your order will be despatched as soon as our next delivery arrives.

We really appreciate that these items are key Christmas presents for your children. Should we foresee any problems we will update you by email. Should you wish to cancel your order, you are free to do so, however, we do believe that we can complete all orders for these lines in the next few weeks.

We would like to offer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused due to the unexpected high demand for these items"

At least I got an apology from these people which is more than I can say for Toys-2U who cancelled my order yesterday evening. :mad: I only want a Chunk for my little boy!!

Its already been said but you have to check out quickly - even then with John Lewis there's no guarantee you will get your stuff. The other day I completed my order to collect in store, had the confirmation email etc , had another email on the day of collection to say on its way and lo and behold a couple hours later a phone call to say oops, they are out of stock and my order is cancelled!!

Oh no I too placed an order today, just for Pipsqueak....... no cancellation email yet though. What time did you place your order and receive the cancellation? x

Latest email from Character when I asked for an indicative time :

I reckon tomorrow around 2.30pm will be when they are back in stock (if this changes I will let you know).

Remember, this is Hamster Packs only this week.

I placed my order last weds evening (about 6ish) and was due to pick up Thursday after 2pm (next day) although they do give you 7 days to collect.

Afternoon, hope all is well, went to toysrus, wilkinsons, tesco, sainsburys all no stock and d&a toys, boots nothing, spoke to some lovely people though and at D and A the lady there said her friend had no choice but to buy off ebay and very inflated prices but she says her friend is happy she has got it all so there is people out there buying off ebay whatever the cost, the lady in Wilkinsons told me nothing anywhere but she had been told hamsters were coming in and that even though the ticket had been turned around so people stopped asking she was kind enough to ring head office for a ball for me, but nothing.
Every single place had heard of them, agreed with me it was commercial madness to have such little stock and kept wishing me well on my quest:D
