what you do is ring late afternoon the day before to confirm exactly what they will be listing and when. They usually give you a time. Then the next day ring them again and check the time again. They've posted at 10 -10.30 and 15.30 - 16.30 before. Whatever time they tell you, keep checking half an hour before and after the time because they don't seem to list at the exact time stated. Also register with them first then you can log in just before the listings so it is quicker to check out before stuff disappears from your basket :rotfl:

Been reading these posts for a while and thanks to this, mainly from Maximouse i was able to get 2 hamsters, 2 carriers, a house and wheel from hooray toys last week.

It varies.

Character were considering listing tomorrows stock later today and I promised to post more if I hear any more.

I usually get to hear in advance 9 times out of 10 ... and sometimes I just spot it appearing randomly via the stockchecker.

4-5 pm is a favoured time, but then so is 9.30-10.30am depending upon what they are doing at Character HQ.

I was just thinking, like you do, when I first started this quest a few weeks ago, I clicked on 'e mail me when back in stock' with just about every website that we've been mentioning today and previously. I can honestly say the only website that actually sent out a mailing was Hooray. Character, tesco and John Lewis are the main offenders I can think of at the minute. So the moral of the story is, don't rely on receiving an e mail from any of the online companies, just keep checking yourself.

Absolutely.

I asked Character point blank about the emailing and their answer was that each email has a cost (I assume that they use some sort of mailing service to process the emails) and that they were selling out so fast that the emails would be a waste of time for most people and therefore a waste of money for Character.

Tho I don't think that is very customer friendly, they do seem to keep customers happpy in the rest of the process.

Lizdav - is this true?? They are listing on the 18th??? I am now working on the 19th and thought I'd miss out on the ball as I thought they were being listed on the 19th - it's all I need to complete!!
