Then I looked at the reviews on Amazon.com - not too good I'm afraid
The hamsters themselves get ok reviews, but the house, car, wheel etc didnt do so well. Apparently very cheaply made, dont work very well, and fall apart easily. I've cancelled my order, and reordered just a couple of hamsters.
I'm actually very dissappointed as I was really looking forward to them arriving! Saved myself some money anyway
To be honest most of my childrens toys i think are over priced and not as good as quality when we were younger but i feel that is just how toys are now mostly.
As long as my children enjoy i am happySaying that the Argos reviews are quite good for them.

I just ordered my fun house from empire stores as I had a £10 voucher code stock not due until 10th November so lets hope it arrives as I give up searching for these little rodents.....:rotfl:0

I know it might not be true, but Play.com says the surfboard sets should be despatched in 4-5 days.0

I ordered from Play.com but it said they were out of stock but it still let me checkout so will have to see if they come or if they cancel.
If anyone lives near Hounslow or Uxbridge Argos they both have over 5 left to collect on Houses.

Thanks for the Marshall Ward tip - have managed to order a house.
Stupid question though - what's so special about the hamster ball ? Couldn't we just buy balls from the pet shop ?
Has anyone who has managed to get a ball opened it and could look for us ?
ThanksSo little money - so much time :mad:0 -

Just opened mine to check for you I think you have a valed point
It looks exactly like the one we got our guineau pigs from tesco a few weeks back For £1.99:eek: There are no special holes inside for the hamster just put him in and he rolls only thing different is you get a very small ball for inside the big ball to rattle but any kind of small ball does the same
OOHH my god cant believe I didnt think of this it cost me £12:mad:0 -
I don't have a link, just had a look on Amazon.com - the american site - there's usually more reviews on there so I always have a look!
I guess it's just that my kids haven't actually asked for these toys, I had just seen them and thought they'd be nice! If they had specifically wanted them I would almost certainly get them - god knows, the amount of terrible tat we've had over the years to keep them happy!!
Still not certain I'm not going to get any of the accessories, will have to see how it goes when our two hammies arrive, we may NEED some extras :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
