Well I have just went onto Toys R Us and bought 2 houses, but then when I hit confirm order, the screen went blank - so I take it the order never went through. Any ideas anyone?

I dont think it would of, did you actually pay?? i would check your emails, i had a email really quickly when i bought one this morning.
  • I bought one from Argos this morning. Took me over an hour to get the bl00dy order through mind you! First it was in stock then it wasn't - Toys R Us were the same. My screen only went blank from TRU when they obviously went out of stock again. May end up with 2 houses though - ordered one from Empire Stores just incase Argos can't deliver! Just waiting on the slide, wheel and skateboard.

These hamsters are addictive, what about the surfboard? Have you got that? You NEED that because it comes with the bedroom (sleep dome) ;)
  • Feeling completely swept up in all of this I went ahead and ordered the house, 2 hamsters an accessory set and the car from Marshall Ward.

Then I looked at the reviews on Amazon.com - not too good I'm afraid :(

The hamsters themselves get ok reviews, but the house, car, wheel etc didnt do so well. Apparently very cheaply made, dont work very well, and fall apart easily. I've cancelled my order, and reordered just a couple of hamsters.

I'm actually very dissappointed as I was really looking forward to them arriving! Saved myself some money anyway :o

Do you have a link? I can't find a review on amazon for the wheel just for 2 hamsters. The reviews on the Argos website for the house seem to be really good.
But I suppose the main review at the end of the day comes from the Kids. Us adults might be slightly annoyed to pay x amount for something to break/play up for a couple of weeks but if it keeps the kids happy, and they enjoy playing with it even if they have to fix it every other time then it's money well spent IMO

I wouldn't worry too much. The reviews on Argos are very positive, in the main. And remember that people are more likely to review to moan than praise something. A lot of toys these days are less sturdy than when I was a kid, that just seems to be the way things are.
