I have just phoned Makro and they have confirmed that they will be stocking hamsters for £12.99 and playsets for £14.99 from Wednesday- I am not a member as my card expired and the likelihood of driving the 80 mile round trip to get the form authorised from work and then driving back again on wednesday is unlikely but hope it helps someone :) xxx

How do people know to queue outside TRU. Surely they must only get random deliveries....

It's funny cus I was thinking that the other day when my mum was told people were queuing round the block waiting for TRU to open! How do people find out these things
  • Om my goodness, what are you doing on this thread, it will zap your life away, you wont sleep and you'll get no studying done, unless you have tremendous will power to just walk away.

Look at me - i only came online to check my emails, and now im chatting away and frantically F5ing TRU cos someone mentioned they might / might not, and i have no will power to walk away. :rotfl:

Well to be honest that was one of the reasons i hadnt joined before... one of my friends has eventually badgered me into joining facebook .. as i had been resisting for so long knowing fine well it would take over my life... and it has with a vengeance... i came back home this morning after dropping the daughter off at school... told the dog i would walk him in a minute and he's sitting there with his legs crossed an hour later!!

lol @ you checking emails.. thats what i do and then end up on facebook... !! :)

When I phone tru they tend to tell you if they are expecting a delivery the next day. Unfortunately my one never seems to be getting playsets :( xx

And this is plus vat. Its a disgrace that a cash and carry sell well above the rrp. I thought a lot of people went there to buy in bulk to sell on in shops!
  • Has anyone checked to see if Costco have stock?

TRU had quite a few hamsters in on Saturday afternoon, plus a few houses.

They were in the entrance bit, by the party and pocket money toys and there was a worker 'guarding' them.

I didn't buy any as I have them, but I couldn't resist asking how come they had so many hamsters in and he said they'd had loads that morning but they'd been very popular - he reckoned they'd sold about 150 units since putting them on the shelf, but nobody came near the ones left in the time I was there! (I don't look scary, so it wasn't me, honest!)

He did say it was rare to see them on the shelf like that!

I wonder if it is because they were located in an 'odd' place?
