Been watching this thread for a few weeks but need some hamsters and accessories around the lancaster/preston area please :-)

I really dont know how holding stock back is working, i used to work for index (same as argos before argos bought it out) and if we had stock sitting on a shelf or behind the counter it was still avavilable to reserve.

The only thing that was different was thatthe pickers ticket would say shop floor, instead of the warhouse code to locate it.

How will argos know if they have sold them all or if one has been lifted by someone using their 5 finger discount, if they arent added to their stock.

DOnt get me wrong i think its greattheir helping out those people who dont have the internet, but they will go missing like mine did on saturday.

From what you say, for every 100 cars, they have 200-odd other add-ons, but they don't seem to sell them.

It is my query too ... aired it 2-3 weeks back. I actually went so far as to ask Character whether they would have split the cartons for Argos and the answer was no.

Argos must have :
1. Sold out of the Slides and Wheels really early and de-listed before we noticed
2. Sold them on to someone else having decided to sell only the car
3. Made a big cockup and are still sitting with these in the stockroom

I have also seen quite cute one's for real hamsters that could be used.
Personally I think the carriers and beds are overated not worth paying more than RRP and even then........I know my kids would use them for a bit then they would get thrown to the bottom of the toy box
