Ummmm, I remember a while ago advising people about getting rechargeable batteries for their hammies, then a few people started posting that you cannot use rechargeable batteries, as this is what is says in tiny writing on the box. I've just read the instructions inside and in respect of batteries it says:
1) Always replace used batteries with fresh alkaline batteries. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
2) Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
3) Do not mix old batteries with new, do not mix alkaline with standard carbon zince or rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries.
4) Non - rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
5) Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged (ummmm, may be people would consider putting jump leads up the hamster's bum?).
6) Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
7) Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
8) do not dispose of batteries in fire.
9) The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited
I wonder if the different instructions on the box and on the actual product info sheet inside differ because of a translation issue or may be because the wrong info was sent to the printing or packaging company...:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -

Thankyou argos ,rang beaumont leys store leics, very very helpful lady told me that they had,nt any stock of go go hamsters she ran a internal check of deliveries in local stores, and to my astonishment loughborough leics came up with 12,even though they didn,t show on check and reserve, she reserved me 2 from her store,on collection the guy came to the counter with about 8 all available,i,m well happy happy now.thankyou argos and your very helpful staff they are a credit, just get on the phone and call they really do help.i think its a total disgrace that reputable companies ,you know who you are, are hiking prices to idiotic amounts taking advantage of what is supposed to be the season of good will, and of parents trying to give there little ones what they want . I have been browsing Argos and found a code for Telford New Street for go go pet hamsters £9.99...expires at the end of Sat 28th .I don't need it but Id love it to go to someone off here who isn't going to make a profit from it as ive seen people selling the codes on ebay and think it's wrong...If you feel the need to thank me then perhaps put a £1 in the 1st charity collection box you see after you have picked up the Pets from Argos..also if anyone does happen to come across any in The Ipswich area and doesn't need it then perhaps think of me...I will choose the lucky person by picking one private message at random when I get up in a few hours.Because now I need sleep..0

Must remember to buy lots of batteries of different sizes for all the kids toys, it's one thing that I nearly always forget.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Was really excited to get a text from Smyths on Thursday to tell me they had reserved a house for me to collect on Friday :jso once the kids were safely tucked up in bed at 7, off i zipped to Smyths to collect my House.
Picked it up no probs and drove home only to have a eejit pull out on me about a mile from home - cars totally written off and i've just got home from hospital having spent hours having ECGs, X-rays and all sorts of other tests but thankfully have got away with some heavy bruising from the seatbelt (thank god i was wearing it!).
Anyway, kind of puts life into some sort of perspective and was so thankful that my beautiful 2 & 4 year old princesses were safely tucked up in bed and although i have no hamsters to put in my house (in it's now rather squashed box) i won't be hunting them down - If i'm luckily enough to get one or two before Christmas on my travels then that will be great but if not, then at least i can be thankful that i'm here to see my girls open their other presents.
We are meant to be driving to Disneyland Paris in the early hours of Sunday morning but not sure if this will be happening now (not sure how we stand with a replacement car through insurance and if we can take it abroad) Don't know how i will explain to the girls in the morning as they are sooooo excited
and we were all looking forward to our Magical Christmas treat.
Anyway (absolutely no disrepect to anyone) but my Internet Hamster hunting hours / days are now over and it's time to spend some quality time with my family.
Happy hunting everyone, hope you all have a great Christmas (with or without your hamsters)
goodnight and sweetdreams0
