Was really excited to get a text from Smyths on Thursday to tell me they had reserved a house for me to collect on Friday :jso once the kids were safely tucked up in bed at 7, off i zipped to Smyths to collect my House.
Picked it up no probs and drove home only to have a eejit pull out on me about a mile from home - cars totally written off and i've just got home from hospital having spent hours having ECGs, X-rays and all sorts of other tests but thankfully have got away with some heavy bruising from the seatbelt (thank god i was wearing it!).
Anyway, kind of puts life into some sort of perspective and was so thankful that my beautiful 2 & 4 year old princesses were safely tucked up in bed and although i have no hamsters to put in my house (in it's now rather squashed box) i won't be hunting them down - If i'm luckily enough to get one or two before Christmas on my travels then that will be great but if not, then at least i can be thankful that i'm here to see my girls open their other presents.
We are meant to be driving to Disneyland Paris in the early hours of Sunday morning but not sure if this will be happening now (not sure how we stand with a replacement car through insurance and if we can take it abroad) Don't know how i will explain to the girls in the morning as they are sooooo excited  and we were all looking forward to our Magical Christmas treat.
Anyway (absolutely no disrepect to anyone) but my Internet Hamster hunting hours / days are now over and it's time to spend some quality time with my family.
Happy hunting everyone, hope you all have a great Christmas (with or without your hamsters)
    goodnight and sweetdreams
