Oh and the yorkshiretoycompany have all the hamsters in http://www.yorkshiretoycompany.co.uk They sent an e mail out last week saying they hadn't received all the stock expected but that they were expecting another delivery in the next 7 days. Not sure if they have already sold what the expect to be coming, but as they had everything last week, it would be worth giving them a ring to see if they are expecting stock of any more items and if so when. Their website is painfully slow...
Well, what do you know, I post a speculative link and not long afterwards they suddenly post some stock (price have gone up since last week!). Either I'm psychic, its a massive coincidence, or they are keeping an eye on this forum.
They have all hamsters, car, beds, carriers, house (I wouldn't pay that -shame on them).
Last week, they were selling the carriers and beds for 4.99, the add ons (wheel, car, spiral) for 14.99, and the house for 19.99 - shocking the incease:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -

I agree, at the moment it's cheaper to buy off e bay. Some of the stuff is going for only a few pound more than the RRP plus postage and even in some cases including postage. (and no, I am not selling my stuff, just informing people that it's worth looking there as well).Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

True, i've found a few examples where if (in a shop or online) you paid the inflated price (or even sometimes the normal price) for an item and pay the 4 or 5 quid postage (or your parking and petrol, bus fair etc), that actually you'd find it was more or less the same price as what you would pay for some items on ebay. I know people are disappointed that the ebayers are cashing in, and yes there are some greedy people out there who have really really ridiculous mark ups, but don't think badly of all of them selling this stuff (no, I'm not selling anything, took too long to get it!) as once they pay ebay a listing fee (and possibly a buy it now fee), a final fee (which is a percentage calculated on how much the item went for) plus a fee to paypal for using them so people can pay, I bet a lot of them are not actually making much at all, may be a couple of quid if that. And they had the hassle (possibly) of trawling through websites for hours (like we do) to search for items, so you have to consider their time as well. Just a thought anyway...
For example, i've done the ebay calculator for a fictitious sale (not I'm not selling it), and if i listed the whole lot as a bundle (which would be 10 items - just one of the hamsters) that would have cost me around £114.90 without any postage I may have paid for delivery. If I then listed the bundle for say £150 on a 'buy it now', I would make £23.50. Then take out the cost I may have paid for posting of the original items to me (cud be £4 or more if it was more than one order), the cost of the packaging materials, the time I have invested in it, and the cost of petrol taking it to the post office, then there wouldn't be much left over that could be classed as profit. Just thought those who are not familiar with ebay would find this interesting.:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -

I absolutely agree with you MM - I can't see that many ebay sellers are 'raking it in' at all. By the time you take into consideration eBay and Paypal fees plus the hassle of listing and posting - is it really worth it??:j Proud owner of 2 hamsters (Num Nums and Mr Sqiggles) - house, slide, wheel, surfboard, car, skateboard, 2 beds and 2 blankets!
