I bought my hamsters from amazon and play for £7.99 delivered so are Toys R Us and every other store now ripping us off and making all the kiddies cry on christmas day?
It is business, if I bought for £7.99 at least £1 of this was postage, they would have purchased from the distributer who purchased from the importer who purchased from the exporter who purchased from the manufacturer. These things must have cost £0.01 to make and really are they worth £10?

I have bought them all to sell on ebay as that is how I make my money.
I do this every year with the hard to find items and have made a decent profit. I sell all year round and sometimes items do not sell well, but on the whole I do very well out of it.
I spend a hell of a lot of time sourcing my items to sell, and a lot more phone calls and petrol - but usually it pays off.
I do not feel any guilt about my job - in fact quite the opposite, as I am doing a lot of people a favour.
I will continue to earn as much money as I can from doing this.
What I am getting at is that if all you moaners did as much as I do to get stock and didn't spend your time complaining about others you may well have gotten everything you need.
