Has anyone heard anything from wilko's? I order a chunk the other night when they were available online, the money has gone from my account and have had confirmation but haven't heard anything? They were supposed to be delivered to my local store?I am starting to wonder why I am still doing this?0

15 assorted hamsters
7 houses
5 balls
2 cars
3 surfboards
5 skateboards
I have bought them all to sell on ebay as that is how I make my money.
I do this every year with the hard to find items and have made a decent profit. I sell all year round and sometimes items do not sell well, but on the whole I do very well out of it.
I spend a hell of a lot of time sourcing my items to sell, and a lot more phone calls and petrol - but usually it pays off.
I do not feel any guilt about my job - in fact quite the opposite, as I am doing a lot of people a favour.
I will continue to earn as much money as I can from doing this.
What I am getting at is that if all you moaners did as much as I do to get stock and didn't spend your time complaining about others you may well have gotten everything you need.
 If people didn't sweep the entire stock on the shelves into their baskets then we might get a chance. It is because of that reason that we are here.Cost of this Hamster Hunt (inc postage):
2 x Num Nums - £36.70, 1 x Chunk £13.50, 1 x Chunk £15.50, Slide £26.89, House £25.94, Car £14.99, Ball £9.99, Surfboard £9.99, Skateboard £9.99, Wheel £24.19 TOTAL:£187.68
A big thanks to you MSE'ers - especially Maximouse :A0 -
be careful with the amazon fun houses, cos I think they are after DEC 25th delivery - login and check your order status!
It said delivery after 25th December if you opted for standard delivery (the middle option whichever that was). If you clicked for the Amazon supersaver delivery (Free of charge), it says that estimated dispatch date is 30th November.
Hope that helps. x0 -

I do agree to some extent with the comments about ebay sellers, we all know how hard it is to buy this stuff, there's a difference between buying a few bits like it seems the seller being referred to has done to walking into a shop and scooping the whole shelf into their trolley. One is just plain greedy and lucky they even had that option its been weeks since I saw full shelves!!! Finding hammies is a full time job, some people deserve to earn a bit from it if they can buy them because really it isn't easy.
It isn't fair to blame stock shortage on ebay alone, there has been hype over christmas toys for years, my mum said that she had trouble finding cabbage patch kids when we were really young, and there was no ebay then.
When I posted this thread they had sold out in minutes now weeks later stock is lower, demand is higher. People here, especially Maximouse have as good as fed stock to people, demand is high there's nothing anyone can do to alter that, these hamster have been in papers, tv ad's and on the news its inevitable that no matter how much stock there is you will still struggle to get any, these are also the type of toy that regardless of how much stock there is if they were more readily available people would buy 4 hamsters instead of 2, 2 balls instead of having their kids share there is no end. Many kids will go without until the new year because their parents don't come on this thread and have the information we have had, we should be grateful that our kids are lucky enough to have anything when so many will have nothing. Those who are still looking for things, you are in the best place to find what you want.
Lesson to be learnt, shop early they list the top ten xmas gifts early enough, I will be next year.0 -
